Research Associate in the field of Child Development and Human Relations (does that sound official enough?)
Educationese (or Teacherese) aside, I'm a mom to 3 unschooled daughters (in NC), so education and how children best learn is of primary interest to me.
Animals have always been a part of our family (we've even rehabilitated small mammals and songbirds in the past).
My husband and daughters are avid gamers. Me not so much, but I don't mind watching. . . most of the time, anyway.
We tend to indulge in science fiction. Favorites (off the top of my head) include; Star Trek (all) Firefly/Serenity, Doctor Who (9th 10th and 11th), Torchwood, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Back to the Future Trilogy, Star Wars, Stargate, Farscape, Buffy, Quantum Leap . . .
